Finally got my easel back up after moving house. I found this amazing piece of handmade watercolour paper when unpacking boxes that had been in the store. What a gift!

:-) As I’ve been woken up every morning by the family of crows in the tree outside I thought I’d use it to paint a portrait of Mrs Gracks, the mother of the family. This is watercolour with some gorgeous electric blue from Daniel Smith watercolours to create the highlights in her feathers. Love that colour and it works so well over the darks underneath.
