I had great fun painting this gorgeous parrot. This is Percy, he’s a caique, and clearly quite a character too. I painted him on a gold gesso background in oils, the gold peaks through the paint in places, adding a little sparkle. He is a 6×6 inch painting on a gold gesso board. He is available here.
