Pumpkin is a gorgeous exotic cat. Exotics have the most amazing eyes and it really gives them a great expression.   She was a commission and the brief was to do her in the style of one of my sheep paintings, which are very loose and splashy. I loved the colours in her coat, she’s full of blues, reds and golds. She’s painted in watercolour on Fabriano watercolour paper. The paper has a great texture which catches the colour as it moves over the surface making little pools of colour.
