This is Yoda, a handsome oriental cat. He is imagining himself as a Pharaoh of Ancient Egypt. He wear the crown of Hathor and has a turquoise and gold collar, set with an emerald and rubies. Very fitting for such a great king! He has silver whiskers.

The cartouche above his head is his name in hieroglyphics, Yoda and the two sets on either side say meow, one in English (meow) and one in Danish (miau) because he’s a Danish cat.

He’s painted in watercolour on a sheet of 16×12 inch Fabriano Artistico paper with copper, gold and silver leaf gilding.
