Based on the shape of a London Plane leaf from a particular tree growing not far from here. It has darker leaves than those around it and when Autumn comes those leaves turn black and purple and dark green with orange and reds inside. It’s quite dramatic! This leaf is based on a leaf from that tree. It has black edges with just a touch of blue and a centre of red and orange with swirls of gold.
