🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 5 star review from Sharon W.: Memories of a life no longer lived but immortalised on canvas so beautifully.
I first found work by this artist in the Cat Gallery in York, where I live now. We purchased Abbey Road as it reminded us of memories of when we worked in St Johns Wood and had to cross Abbey Road everyday to get to work (plus of course the cats are a fantastic recreation of the iconic photo). I then saw on Denise’s website ‘Amwell Street in Spring’, which was the parallel street to where we lived in London, Great Percy Street (GPS). I thought what a great gift, memory and legacy it would be if Denise could paint my previous home and paint my cats Hecta and Bobby walking past. How amazed and joyous I was when she agreed and explained she actually lived close by herself – serendipity I feel! What an adventure, I collected and shared photos in Dropbox and Denise began to create this personal masterpiece.
I am not creative at all, so watching the image grow and reflect my previous life, and neighborhood, is very special, and cant be explained, only felt. Every evening I look at this picture from my armchair in York and I smile as I see my old life come alive again and again. It makes me want to cry with joy to have found someone who can capture memories so well. Thanks Denise for sharing your creation journey with me. But more importantly thank you for giving me back GPS, Hex and Bobby as I no longer miss them as they are in my home and heart everyday owing to having had this incredible lifelike piece commissioned.
